Garden maintenance worker wanted in Smith County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Smith County, Mississippi. You will work in a public park. Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers On a typical shift you will cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed. 5+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
