Vacancy available: commis chef (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a commis chef in Fairfax County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy restaurant kitchen. On the job you will handle: • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Prepare the mise en place before each service • Manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases Requirements: • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,100 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
